This is the last Will and Testament
of me Kitty Glanvill Spinster now residing in the family of Mrs Syne of Stockwell in the County of Surrey Imprimis I give e bequeath to my sister Margaret Bristow the sum of one hundred pounds e in case of her death in my lifetime I give and bequeath the same to Mrs Hoggart the wife of Robert Hoggart of Tooting in the said County of Surrey for her sole separate use independent of her husband and her receipt alone to be a sufficient discharge to my brother Jeremiah Glanvill and sister Mildred Stidder the sum of fifty pounds each and to my sister Mary Crawford the sum of twenty pounds also I give and bequeath to Maria Reily my niece the sum of one hundred pounds and to William Bristow my nephew the sum of twenty pounds the said two last mentioned persons being children of my said sister Margaret Bristow and to my great nephew and niece John Bristow and Maria Bristow children of my said nephew William Bristow I bequeath the sum of twenty pounds each Also I give e bequeath to Ann Roe my niece daughter of my said sister Mildred Stidder the sum of twenty pounds Also I give and bequeath to Mrs Glanvill the widow of my deceased brother Benjamin Glanvill the sum of fifty pounds and to my two nieces Mary and Catherine Glanvill daughters of my said deceased brother Benjamin the sum of thirty pounds each Also to each of my nephews the sons of the said Benjamin Glanvill the sum of twenty pounds And to William Glanvill son of my nephew (?) William Glanvill and grandson of my said deceased brother Benjamin the sum of ten pounds Also I give and bequeath to Angelique Bristow widow of George Bristow a son of my aforesaid sister Margaret the sum of ten pounds and to her the said Angelique Bristow's daughter Angelique the sum of twenty pounds to Mrs Martha Hirfs (?) wife of Mr Thomas Hirfs (?) of Kilburn in Middlesex the sum of ten pounds Adn to Mrs Janes Sanderson of Clapham the sum of five pounds the two persons last mentioned having formerly been my fellow servants Also to Mary Kedge my fellow servant at this time the sum of five pounds And whereas the principal part of my property is now invested in the public funds and it may happen to be the case that at the time when the same shall be realized by my Executors hereinafter named for the purposes of my will the same together with any other property of which I may die profsefsed from the low price of government securities may not be sufficient after payment of by debts funeral and testamentary expenses to pay in full in such event my said executors shall make a deduction from each legacy rateably and in proportion to the amount thereof to the extend of any such deficiancy of afsets And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint Mr Charles Richard Harford and Mr Edwin Harford both of Stockwell aforesaid to be the Executors of this my Will to whom I give and bequesth all the surplus and rest and residue which may remain of my estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever after payment of my debts funeral and testamentary expense and the legacies before bequeathed and revoking all other wills I declare this to be my last In Witnefs whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty seventh day of August in the year of our Lord 1832 - Kitty Glanville LD. In addition to the instructions contained in my will I request of my executors Charles Richard Harford e Edwin Harford to appropiate put of the residue of my property the sum of twenty pounds each to George Glanvill John Glanvill William Glanville and Edward Glanvill all sons of my late nephew Edward Glanville to be applied to binding them apprentice or should be part of the whole of this money from any circumstance not be required for this purpose then I request my executors above named to give to each of them their proportion at any time they may consider most prudent - Kitty Glanvill - Stockwell 18th March 1834

In the Goods of Kitty Glanvill Spinster deceased
Appeared Personally Henry Lyne of Balham Hill in the County of Surrey Esquire and Emily Harford of Stockwell in the same County Spinster and made oath that they knew e were well acquainted with Kitty Glanvill otherwise Glanville late of Stockwell in the County of Surrey Spinster deceased for several years before and to the time of her death and also with the manner and character of her handwriting and subscription having often seen her write and also subscribe her name And the deponents having now attentively viewed the name Kitty Glanville set and subscribed to the paper writing hereunto annexed purporting to be and contain a codicil to the last will and testament of the said deceased the said codicil beginning thus "In addition to the instructions contained in my will I request my Executors Charles Richard Hardord e Edwin Harford to appropiate out of the residue of my property" and ending thus "then I request my executors above named to give to each of them their proportion at any time they may consider most prudent Stockwell 18th March 1834" They fursther made oath that they so verily e in their consciences believe the name "Kitty Glanvill" so set and subscribed to the said codicil beginning and end as aforesaid to be the proper handwriting of the said Kitty Glanvill otherwise Glanville deceased. Proved at London with a Codicil 18th July 1840 before the worshipful Herbert Jenner Doctor of Laws e Surrogate by the oaths of Charles Richard Harford e Edwin Harford Esqs the Executors to whom Admon was granted having been first sworn duly to administer
