In the Name of God Amen
I John Glanvill now belonging to his Majesties ship Lannceston May
being very sick and weak but of sound and well disposing mind and memory
do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following
Vizt) Imprimis I give devise and bequeath unto my well beloved friend Thomas
Madesall such short allowance money as shall appear me owing payable
or belonging unto me on board the said ship of So Item I give devise and
bequeath unto my well beloved friend William Sclater of the said ship mariner
all such pay or wages as shall appear due to me at the time of my decease
whom I do also nomiate and appoint full and sole executor and administrator
of this my last will and testament Item all the residue and remainder of
whatsoever sum or sums of money goods and chattells as shall appear
due to me at the time of my decease I give devise and bequeath the same
to my loving brother Thomas Glanvill of Exon in the County of Devon
clothier and I doe hereby revoke disanull and make void all other wills
and bequests by me heretofore made declaring this only to be my last will
and testament in witness where I have hereunto set my hand and seal
this seventh day of September in the year of our Lord 1724 and in the eleventh
year of the reigne of our Soveraigne Lord George by the Grace of God
of Great Brittain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith &c John
