Samuel Glanvill

In the name of God Amen
I Samuel Glanvill bricklayer in the parish of Eaton in the
County of Bucks being in health of body and sound in mind
and memory thanks be to God for it calling to mind the
mortality of the body that it is appointed for man each to
die do make and ordain this my last will and testament
that is to say principally I commend my soul into the
hand of God that gave it in sureof a certain Resurrection
to eternal life through Jesus Christ my Lord and my Body
to be decently buried at the discretion of my executrix and
after my just debts are paid my wordly good and
leases that it hath pleased God to bless me with to be
disposed with as followeth Imprimis I give and bequeath
to my son William Glanvill the lease of Hage Close in the
possession of George Piper with all buildings and
appurtenances belonging thereunto and for him to
continue the renewing of the lease of Mr George Sexton
at the proper time specified in the lease and the half of
the profits of the lease that arise from it after paying
Mr Sexton and necessary repairs to be paid to my
beloved wife Mary Glanville twice a year at the half
year payments Imprimis I give the lease of my dwelling
house and shop goods and stock belonging to it to my
beloved wife during the time of her natural life and
my book debts and money that I shall die possessed
with and household goods except the shop goods to be
equally divided between my wife and son William
Glanville Imprimis I give my scafolding goods and all
utensils to my son Will: Glanvill Imprimis In case my
son William Glanvill dies without lawful issue of his
body and neccesity don't compel him to sell the leases
I give and bequeath to my brother Edward Glanvill and
the heirs of his body lawfully begotten the lease of Hog
Close and all buildings belonging thereunto belonging
paying to my sister Honer Godfrey and sister Sarah Floyd
the sum of five pounds each of good and lawful money if
alive Imprimis I make my loving wife Mary Glanvill
the sole executrix of this my last will and testament -

On the first day of August in the year of our Lord
one thousand seven hundred and sixty three Admon
with the will annexed) of the goods chattels and credits
of Samuel Glanvill late of Eton in the County of Bucks
widower deceased was granted to William Glanvill the
natural and lawful son and only surviving child of the
said deceased and a principal legatee named in the
said Will (for that Mary Glanvill the wife of the said
deceased and sole executrix named in the said will died
in the lifetime of the said testator and no residuary
legatee is named therein) having been first sworn duly to administer
