Lloyd loved nature, he worked for the Maitland Conservation Authority for many, many years planting, cutting, splitting, pruning or anything you could possibly do to a tree. He looked after the Brussels dam checking flood levels and making sure the logs were in place. Lloyd was a huge supporter of the Brussels Legion. You might find him thawing fish, peeling potatoes or cutting up meat for any of the Legions many activities. He was the #1 Patron for over 40 years. He loved to play crib and euchre entering in many tournaments at the legion and win or lose always having a good time. He loved music and although he couldn’t play any instruments was quick to tell you if you were off key. He enjoyed listening to his daughter sing and would often join in. Lloyd also loved his Saturday morning crosswords, his dictionary with worn down pages and thumb marks is evidence of this. He also enjoyed having coffee at Jr’s and hearing all the gossip. Lloyd loved his family, hunting with his brothers near Field way up north or traveling up Manitoulin Island to go hunting or fishing with his uncle Les.
