Age 59, of Columbia Heights passed away Suddenly with family by her side on January 13, 2019. She enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with her family. Her smile will be missed by many. Preceded in death by parents, Darlene Hall and Ronald Jones; brother, Jeff Jones; and Granddaughter My‘Destiny Powe Survived by children,Dynasty Powe Sr, Jonathan Powe,Chastity Powe, Natasha Green,4 Siblings,13 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Shirley Jean Glanville, 88, of Lapeer, died Sunday, April 28, 2019.
Shirley was born August 6, 1930 in Hancock, Michigan. She graduated from Lake Linden-Hubbell High School, class of 1948. She married Bradford Glanville on May 1, 1954. Shirley was a loving mother, wife and grandmother. Through the years she worked several part time jobs and worked several years as a court clerk in Lapeer County. Above all, Shirley was a loving homemaker and family person.
Shirley is survived by her sons: Gary (Lisa) Glanville of Almont and Richard (Dawn) Glanville of Metamora; five grandchildren: Brandon, Derek, Gregory, Stephanie and Brittany; three great grandchildren: Brynn, Matthew and Layla (and one more on the way). Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Brad Glanville in 2003; brother, Eugene “Roy” Boucher and her parents, Oliva (nee Quintal) and George Green.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Display Gardens on Suncrest, 1455 Suncrest Drive, Lapeer, Michigan 48446.
In keeping with Shirley’s wishes cremation services have been entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. Her family is planning a private memorial to be held this summer.
