Henry and Jessie Louisa White had no children by the 1911 census.Entry in The National Roll of the Great War 1914-1918 reads:
GLANVILLE, H. J., Private, 2/5th Hampshire Regt.
Having attested under the Derby Scheme, he was called to the Colours in June 1916, and in the following month was drafted to India, and thence to Egypt. There he was engaged on garrison duties and later took part in the fighting in the Palestine with General Allenby's forces. He was unfortunately killed in action on April 10th, 1918, and was entitled to the General Service and Victory Medals.
