     He died on 9 March 1891 at sea off Cornwall; the Register of Seaman deaths at sea records:
Glanville I.E., male, age 30, Mate, born Dublin, abode Fowey Cornwall, cause of death : Supposed drowned; vessel lost (total stranding) WR136, 9.3.1891 Start Point, vessel Dryad no. 76889 registered Liverpool.
