He ended military service on 2 March 1919; acknowledging receipt of British War medal 27 Jan 1922 as Private J Glanville, Army Service Corps, Regtl No 307101 of 45 Southside Street, and earlier 13 Oct 1920 of the 1914-15 Star. He had had 7 days pay deducted because on 7 Sep 1916 he had been absent without permission from 5:40pm to 5:45pm, when found behind a stack; he had thrown the performance of his duties on others by his absence.On 8 January 1926 Notices of Release of Trustees:
