     He married Sarah Elizabeth Briggs on 25 December 1901 at Holy Trinity, Plymouth, DEV, ENG, (when age calculated as 27 years, 11 months and 12 days) registered Plymouth. His age recorded 29, hers 27. Fathers named Jabez Glanville sweeper, Samuel Briggs fisherman. Witness Emily Glanville.
     He died circa February 1945 at Plymouth registered, DEV, ENG; recorded age 71.

Jabez Pike Glanville began military service on 23 November 1915 at London, MDX, ENG, Army Service Corps, recorded age 42yrs 10mths, height 5ft 8.5 inch, chest 36.5in expanded. Later transferring to Labour Corps, going to France 5 Dec 1915. He served with the British Expeditionary Force 6 Dec 1915 to 31 Jan 1919, otherwise at Home. He ended military service on 2 March 1919; acknowledging receipt of British War medal 27 Jan 1922 as Private J Glanville, Army Service Corps, Regtl No 307101 of 45 Southside Street, and earlier 13 Oct 1920 of the 1914-15 Star. He had had 7 days pay deducted because on 7 Sep 1916 he had been absent without permission from 5:40pm to 5:45pm, when found behind a stack; he had thrown the performance of his duties on others by his absence.
