     Elizabeth Pomroy was born between 1809 and 1810 at SOM, ENG; Not MDX recorded in 1841 census.
     She married George Glanville, son of Nicholas Glanville and Mary Staddon, on 3 October 1839 at St Andrews, Clevedon, SOM, ENG, registered Bedminster. Both of full age, he widower, her spinster. Fathers named Nicholas Glanvill yeoman, Hugh Pomroy mason. Witnesses Hugh and Emma Pomroy.
Banns read St Martin in the Fields Sep 15, 22 and 29, George Glanvill of this parish and Elizabeth Pomroy of parisyh of Clevedon in the County of Somerset.
     She died in March 1857 at London, SRY, ENG; registered Lambeth, recorded age 45.
     She was buried on 30 March 1857 at West Norwood Cemetery, Norwood, SRY, ENG, recorded age 45.
     Her estate was probated on 23 July 1857 Proved at London with a codicil 23rd of July 1857 before the worshipful
Samuel Jerifes (?) Wanby Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the oaths of Thomas
Treloar and William Burdock Roberts two of the executors to whom admon was
granted having been first sworn duly to administer power reserved of making the
like grant to Richard Glanvill the other executor when he shall apply for the same.

     Elizabeth Pomroy left a will on 19 March 1857 transcribed:
This is the last will and testament
of me Elizabeth Glanvill of Effra (?) Cottage Dulwich Road Brixton in the County
of Surrey widow and relict of George Glanvill deceased formerly of No. twenty one
North Street in the parish of St John the Evangelist in the City of Westminster in
the County of Middlesex victualler I devise and bequeath all the real and personal
estate which I shall be intitled at the time of my decease whether by virtue of any
power or authority or of any separate right of property or otherwise I am competent
to dispose of in the following manner that is to say to my dear daughter Emma
Glanvill my plate jewellry linen and wearing apparel and I also give and bequeath
to my said daughter Emma Glanvill the sum of three hundred pounds
which I *** as being due and owing to me by my brother in law Richard
Glanville of Clevedon in the County of Somerset *** under and by virtue
of a certain promissary note dated Clevedon 15th July 1850 for three hundred
pounds payable on demand together with all interest due and arriving due to me
on such said promissary note and I declare my executor and trustee or ex*
and trustees for the time being will pay over to her such sum of three
hundred pounds together with such inerest now due and arriving due on her
marriage day but if she should not marry before attaining the age of twenty
seven years then my executors and trustees or executors and trustees for the time
being will purchase with such sum and interest then due a life annuity for her
use absolutely it is my earnest wish that my said daughter Emma may be
placed in a situation as a governess in any school or seminary that may be
found (?) by my executor and trustee or executor and trustees for the time being or
in such occupation that they may think best for her welfare in life and I devise
and bequeath all the residue of all my real and personal estate which I may
die possessed of but as to estates vested in me upon trust or otherwise subject to the
equities affect* the same respectively unto my three dear children Emma
Glanville George Glanvill and Charles Glanvill to be equally divided between them
share and share alike it being my will that the said sum of three hundred pounds
and interest thereso is independent of the third share to which Emma Glanvill is
now entitled to under this by devise and bequest such resideu of all my real and personal
estate to be sold and disposed of as soon as my executor and trustee or executors and
trustees for the time being may think advisable for the best and I direct that they will
hand over to my said children such shares when the youngest surviving child arrives
at the age of twenty one and I direct that in the event of any one or more of my children
dying before the youngest attains the age of twenty one the shares of such child or children
is to be given to the survivor or survivors equally and in the event of all three of
my children dying before attaining such age of twenty one then all such shares
to be equally divided between John Glanvill of Bermondsey in the County of Surry
Barry Glanvill of Bermondsey in the County aforesaid Jane Cowf (?) of Bermondsey aforesaid
and Amelia Leff of Bermondsey aforesaid and it is my earnest wish that my children
George and Charles be apprentised to some respectiable trade or calling on their attaining
a proper age and I appoint Richard Glanvill of Clevedon aforesaid yeoman Thomas
Treloar of No. forty two Ludgate Hill in the City of London cocoa nut fibre manufacturer
William Burcock Roberts of East Moulsey near Hampton Court in the County of Surrey a
gentleman to be my executors and trustees under this my will and I declare that my
said executors and trustees shall be answerable for their own respective acts receipts
and defaults only and I revoke all other wills dated this nineteenth day of March
one thousand eight hundred and fifty seven - Elizabeth Glanvill - Signed by the
testator as her last will and testament in the presence of us present at the same time
who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed
