     Robert Strong was born before 1767.
     He married Mary Glanville, daughter of John Glanville and Mellin Wilcocks, on 11 July 1787 at the Parish Church, Whitchurch, DEV, ENG, Robert Strong of the parish of Tavistock and Mary Glanvill of this parish were married in this church by banns, by Henry Pengelly vicar. Both signed the register rather than Marking. In the presence of George Glanvill, Andrew Harris.
