Other information

     On 20 February 1793 The Proceedings of the Old Bailey record Samuel Young indicted for feloniously stealing items, including a sash saw, value 2s from John Sawyer Glanville, who stated "I work at the Duke of Leeds. I left my tools in my Stanforth's chest, they were gone on Monday morning" (Samuel Young found guilty, transported for seven years.)
     On 28 February 1801 he was named in the will of his father, and was not favoured although the eldest surviving at that time.
