Birth, Marriage and Death information

     Lawrence Hyde was born circa 1611; the Visition of Wiltshire, 1623, (made by Henry St. George and Samson
Lennard), edited by Geroge W. Marshall, (London, Bell, 1882), p.21, which
gives Laurencius age 12.
     He married Alice Glanville, daughter of Sir John Glanville and Winifred Bouchier, on 14 October 1652 at the Parish Church, Broad Hinton, WIL, ENG, according to the History of Parliament, House of Commons, 1660-1690. Lawrence being of Hinton Daubney, Hants, the son of Sir Nicholas Hyde, Chief Justice of the King's Bench, 1627-1631.

     Lawrence Hyde and Alice Glanville were living in 1660; VCH Hants, Volume III., Finchdean Hundred, Catherington article on
p.101 wherein the church of St. Katherine is described, there is mention of
"The church plate includes a silver sommunion sup given by Lawrence Hyde and Alice his wife in 1660."
     Lawrence Hyde left a will will of Lawrence Hyde from the Prerogative Court of Canterbury, 11/412, folio 224, in which his wife Alicia Hyde is named as sole Executrix. She is not referred to as Alicia Hyde nee Glanville, but one of the witnesses to the will is Elizabeth Glanville.
