Shoalhaven Telegraph 16 December 1925:
DEATH OF MR. ROBERT GLANVILLE.
The death occurred, on Sunday morning last, very unexpectedly, of Mr. Robert. Glanville, at his residence, Bamarang. The deceased gentleman had been in Nowra on Saturday, apparently in his usual state of health. He returned to his home with Mr. Frank Emery in the afternoon, and proceeded about the ordinary farm work, visiting several parts of his property, and seeing that the dairy herd were fed with green fodder. On Sunday morning he also attended to the farm work, and later, after breakfast, complained of feeling rather unwell. Mr. Emery wanted to send for the doctor, but Mr. Glanville said he would be all right directly. Instead of recovering, however, he quickly became worse. Mr. Emery, becoming alarmed, asked his son Clive to proceed to Nowra for a doctor, but before the young man could get his horse ready Mr. Glanville had expired. The cause of death was heart failure. The late Mr. Glanville was a native of the district, having been born at Bamarang 73 years ago. He was a member of one of the oldest pioneer families, and was a man held in very high esteem. He never married, but resided on his own property with Mr. F. Emery. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon, the mortal remains being interred in the Nowra general cemetery, Rev. T. Terry officiating -at the grave and conducting the last sad rites.
