Birth, Marriage and Death information

     Rev John Glanville was born after 1588 at ENG; if his father was not the eldest son of John's grandfather, and his father was aged at least 20 when John was born. Possibly 24 Nov 1599, but record of his baptism very possibly in the now lost Tavistock registers.
     He married Anna Ritson on 21 January 1618 at St Breock, CON, ENG.
     He died on 31 August 1632 at CON, ENG; dying of natural causes.
     He was buried at Withiel, CON, ENG, as per the registers.

Other information

     The Records of the Anglo Norman House of Glanville (wrongly) attributes this John to be the son of Nicholas and Elizabeth nee Kedley.
     On 23 March 1611 Manor of Withiel purchased by Sir Francis Glanvill, son of Alice Skerrett (sold 9 Oct 1634.)
     Rev John Glanville was educated Exeter College, King Charles being the Guardian of John in his Minority when entering the College to become a Minister. The alumni of Exeter college records John's father as Nicholas. In 1614 Francis Glanvill (Sir Francis son of Alice nee Skerrit) becomes his Patron.
