     James Glanville was born before 1786.
     He married Elizabeth Williams on 3 January 1806 at St Thomas, Portsmouth, HAM, ENG.
     He died circa 1825.
     His estate was probated on 1 December 1825 Proved at London 1st Decr 1825 before the Judge by the oath of
John Devereux the sole executor to whom admon was granted
being first sworn by Commission duly to administer.

     James Glanville left a will on 17 August 1808 In the Name of God Amen I James
Glanville boatswain late of H.M. Ship Mewe now of Portsea being
in bodily health and of sound and displosing mind and memory
and considering the perils and dangers of the seas and other ***
of this transitory life do for avoiding controversies after my decease
make publish and declare this my last will and testament in
manner following (that is to say) first I recommend my soul to
God that gave it and my body I commit to the earth or sea as it
shall please God to order and as for and concerning all my wordly
estate I give bequeath and dispose thereof as followeth (that is to
say) all my prize money wages sum and sums of money lands
tenements goods chattels and estate whatsoever as shall be any
ways due owing or belonging unto me at the time of my decease
I do give devise and bequeath the same unto my beloved wife
Elizth Glanville of Portsea And I do hereby nominate and appoint
my friend Mr Jno Devereux of Gosport Navy agent my whole
and sole executor of this my last will and testment hereby revoking
all former and other wills testaments and deed of gift by me at any
time heretofore made And I do ordain and ratify those presents
to stays and be for and as my only last will and testament In
witness whereof to this my said Will I have set my hand and seal
the seventeenth day of August in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and eight and in the forty eighth year
of the reign of His Majesty King George the third over the
United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland &c James Glanville
