Thomas Glanville was born circa 1788 at Youghall, COR, IRL.Other information
He was discharged aged "about forty years" on 18 May 1828 at Brighton as a Private from the 10th Royal Regiment of Fusiliers as a consequence of being worn out from length of service. He had been wounded in the body by a musket shot at the battle of Talavera. He was described height 5ft 9", black hair, hazel eyes, dark complexion, by trade a labourer. His service included 23rd Lancers 25 Sep 1805 to 31 Oct 1817, 10th Royal Hussars 1 Nov 1817 to 26 May 1828 and Waterloo 29th included.Enlistment in the 23rd Regiment of Lancers 27 Oct 1805 when aged 19.
