Glanville-Wedgerfield
A very pretty wedding was solemnized at the home of Mr. Wm. Wedgerfield, Little Current, on Wednesday evening, June 11th, when his eldest daughter, Jean McIvor was united in marriage to Mr. Walter Glanville, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Glanville of Gore Bay.
The bride who was given in marriage by her father looked lovely in a frock of beige chiffon with matching hat and bouquet of sweetheart roses and maidenhair fern. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Eileen Wedgerfield who wore a gown of blue voile with hat and shoes to match. The groom was supported by Mr. Kenneth Petch of Little Current.
The ceremony took place beneath an arch of evergreens in the presence of a number of guests, the Rev. Jos. Coulter officiating.
After the signing of the register about thirty guests sat down to a sumptuous supper in the dining room which was daintily decorated in pink and white.
The groom's gift to the bride was a crystal necklace, to the bridesmaid a beautiful bracelet and to the groomsman a pair of gold cuff links.
The bride and groom were the recipients of many beautiful and costly gifts which shows the high esteem in which the young couple are held.
In the future Mr. and Mrs. Glanville will reside in Little Current.
