Many Friends At Funeral of Well-Known Railroad Official
The funeral of Mr. Robert B. Glanville, freight agent of the Northern Central Railway and other Pennsylvania lines, who died early last Friday morning from injuries received in a fall while returning from the Baltimore Country Club, took place yesterday afternoon from his home, 404 Hawthorn road. Rev. J. W. Douglas, pastor of Roland Park Presbyterian Church, conducted the services. The pallbearers were Messrs. Jacob W. Hook, Thomas B. Gamble, M. A. McCormick, Howard P. Sadtler, William L. Rothstein, Gilbert H. Cobb, Samuel O. Malin and Frank C. Dew. The burial was in Loudon Park Cemetery. Henry W. Mears had charge of the funeral.
The floral offerings were numerous and beautiful. A cross of roses, 6 feet long, which covered the coffin, was from the employees of the Calvert freight station. Another beautiful design was from the Baltimore Transfer Company, and wreaths, crosses and other designs were sent by Mr. Arthur L. Avant-Vernay, of New York; Mr. and Mrs. C. P. McPherson, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob W. Hook, Mr. and Mrs. A. Spear, Mr. and Mrs. John D. Reynolds, Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Rowe, Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Aughinbaugh, Mr. and Mrs. M. A. McCormick, Mr. William L. Rothstein and Mr. L. E. Egerton, Jr.
A large delegation of railroad officials, some of which have been associated with Mr. Glanville for the last 30 years, called at the house yesterday to extend their sympathy to the family.
He was buried in 1906 at Loudon Park Cemetery, Baltimore, Baltimore City, MD, USA.
