     Susanna Glanville left a will on 10 April 1816 This is the last will and testament of me
Susannah Glanvill of the parish of Stowford in the County of Devon
in the first place I commit my immortal soul to the care of almighty God hoping
for its everlasting blefsednefs through the merits of Jesus Christ in the next
place I direct my executors hereinafter named to pay my just debts & funeral
& testamentary expenses and then out of the property that I may be pofesfesed
of I direct them to pay two guineas apiece to each of their three selves for their
trouble in the execution of this my will I give Mary Westlake my sister in law
five pounds of lawful money of England and I give to Befsey Potton my sisters
daughter of Plymouth the sum of twenty pounds of lawful money of England
and I give to Jane Jarvis my sisters daughter or Plymouth the sum of ten pounds
of lawful money of England the above legacies to be paid twelve months
after my decease and I also give to Joanna Ball five pounds sterling
and I give to Joanna Blatchford one pound sterling and I give to John Ball
one pound sterling to be paid immediately after my decease and I give to
George Ball the sum of one pound sterling to be paid immediately after my
decease the above named Joanna Ball George Ball & John Ball and Joanna
Blatchford are of the parish of Stowford in the said County I direct that all
the rest and residue of my property and effects in Government security or elsewhere
which I may be pofsefsed of at the time of my decease be divided into three
equal shares or proportions as hereinafter mentioned for the following purposes
I give & bequeath one third part or share thereof to my sister Rebecca Backstone
widow living at Sunderland I give & bequeath one other third part or share
thereof to my sister Martha Youldon of Hatherleigh in the County aforesaid I give
and bequeath the other third part of share thereof to my brother John Glanvill
of Hitsom (?) near Dartmouth in the said County I also give & bequeath unto my sister
Rebecca Blackistone the sum of ten pounds over & above the one third part or share
before inserted and I also give to my sister Martha Youlson all my cloth wearing
apparel (except two or three garments for Sarah Glanvill my sister in law and
the same for Rebecca Blackistone my other sister and I do hereby constitue and
appoint my sisters Rebecca Blackistone & Martha Youldon and John Glanville
before mentioned Exors & Trustees of this my last will I hereby revoke all others & former
wills by me made I declare this to be my last will & Testament In witnefs whereof
I have hereunto set my hand & seal this tenth day of April in the year of our Lord

A John Glanfield was buried Bratton Clovelly 21 Jan 1816 recorded age 79, abode Bratton

In 1789 a John Glenvell/Glenvil (spelt both ways on the same marriage register) married Sarah Fox at Dittisham (Ditson near Dartmouth?). The bans record John being of Egg Buckland and Sarah Fox of Dittisham. Both Marked the register instead of signing.
