     Dorothy R. Lacey was born on 6 January 1927 at Pomeroy, OH, USA.
     She married Robert Thomas Glanville Snr, son of John Cecil Glanville and Charlotte Johns, after 1990 at the USA.
     She died on 11 February 2009 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV, USA, (when age calculated as 82); with obituary:
Mrs. Dorothy R. “Dot” Lacey Glanville 82, of Ironton, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009, from Cabell-Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W.Va., after a sudden illness.
She was born Jan. 6, 1927, in Pomeroy. Dorothy was a native of Ohio and lived in Ironton 39 years. Her music career started early in life when she began both piano and violin lessons at the age of nine. She attended Ohio University at Athens where she majored in music. She began her teaching career as a music teacher in Middleport and later obtained her master’s degree in English and taught at Rock Hill High School nine years. She was in the Ohio State University Orchestra and was a choirmaster in the string section.
After retirement, she had time to pursue her love of music. For 34 years, Dorothy was the organist at the First United Methodist Church in Ironton. She also attended the South Point Christian Church where she played the organ for the Sunday evening service. She loved her work in the church especially enjoying accompanying soloists. She was loved and adored by her family and her many church friends.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Glanville of Ironton; two daughters, Kathy Johnson (Jerry) of Flatwoods, Ky., and Ruth Ann Hammond (Jim) of Catlettsburg, Ky., one step-son, Robert Glanville, Jr. of Huntington Beach, Calif., two grandchildren, Sean Keairns (Dana) of Ironton and Bret Johnson (Andrea) of Aurora, Ore., and two great grandchildren, Vincent and Victoria Keairns.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Tracy Brammer Funeral Home with Dr. Wayne Young and Minister Jerry Greenslait officiating. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Friends may call 6 - 9 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to the First United Methodist Church Food Pantry, 5th and Center streets.
