     Richard Glanville was born before 1821.
     He died on 16 March 1841 at Sydney, NSW, AUS; one of 7 people hung for the murder of John Graham. They were known as the "Jew Boy Gang", who terrorised the Hunter River district with numerous robberies and murders.

     Richard Glanville immigrated on 8 August 1838 to NSW, AUS, as a convict on the vessel Lord Lyndoch, after a Court Martial at Edinburgh Castle, Scotland at which he was sentenced to 14 years for desertion. The vessel departed 2 April 1838.
     Richard Glanville joined the gang some time mid December, after robbing Dr Alick Osborne at his residence in present day Eraring. Glanville had been a soldier, transported in 1838 aboard Lord Lyndoch to New South Wales to serve fourteen years for desertion. He stood five feet nine inches tall, with a sallow complexion. His hair was dark brown and eyes were hazel.
