     He died on 11 July 2014; with obituary:
JOHN GLANFIELD 1947 - 2014 John was tragically killed on Friday 11th July whilst on his way to Nibley Steam Rally. The Funeral has been arranged for Monday 28th July. 12.30pm St John's Church, Purton. Family and close Friends. 2.00pm Gloucester Crematorium. Family only. Caroline has requested that flowers are to be wild flowers or garden flower posies. NO FORMAL CLOTHES PLEASE. There will be a celebration of John's life on Monday 28th commencing at 1.00pm for his Family, Friends and Work Colleagues, at the Little Vintage Show Ground, Dursley Road, Cambridge, Glos. GL2 7AB. We would like to invite all that knew John and ask that if you are an owner of a vintage car, motorbike, tractor or military vehicle that you bring it with you, as we will be doing a tribute to John. The Funeral procession will enter the field so you can all say your goodbyes and a prayer will be offered, the Family will then continue on to the Crematorium and will join you later on. There will be a pig roast with veggie option, and a bar that will be supporting the chosen charity CLIC.
