Gloria Abad Glanville passed away at Holmes Regional Medical Center on January, 11 2021 from complications of a cervical lymph node biopsy.
She was a resident of Brevard county for four decades and worked at Holmes Regional Medical Center for 20+ years, as a critical care heart nurse and eventually various management positions. Never one to sit idle, she continued her education and graduated with a Masters Degree in Health Care Administration. She then moved on to several high level management positions at various prestigious health care institutions around the USA.
After several years, she eventually returned to Florida and to the bedside patient care she loved the best. She was always an advocate for patient rights and was instrumental in saving the lives of hundreds of patients throughout her career.
She was a devoted daughter and took care of her aged parents until their deaths. She loved them both above all else.
She believed that through perseverance, education, hard work and determination anyone could succeed if they wanted to. She is survived by her loving husband John W. Baker, a large extended family, and many friends and co-workers throughout the world. She will be dearly missed by all!
There will be a private ceremony and memorial.
