Mr Arthur Henry Oustyn Glenville, another recipient of the British Empire Medal, is a meber of the Hull City Engineer's staff, and has been seconded since the end of 1938 to the Civil Defence Rescue Service, holding the position of chief training and staff officer.
His duties entail the supervision of rescue work during air raids and he has a splendid record of service during the severe raids of Hull. In less strenuous times he takes charge of the training school in rescue work. He has been in the city Engineer's staff for nearly 13 years.
