In November 1831 at Angel Inn Hotel and Posting House, Tiverton, DEV, ENG, the Globe 4 Nov 1831 reported John Glanville, a waiter there for the last 14 years acquiring the business.On 5 May 1832 the Exeter and Plymouth Gazette listed:

Thirteen Years Steward in the Royal Navy, to the Admirals Sir Edward Buller, and Sir H. B. Neale, Bart. and fourteeen years waiter on the above establishment.
Begs most respectfully to return his humble thanks to the Nobilit, Gentry and Commercial Gentelmen, fo rthe kind support already received, since he has entered upon the above Hotel and begs to inform them, that he has refitted and refurnished the same so as to render every department convenient, and hopes by strict attention to the comforts of his guests, keeping a good Larder, choice Old Wines and Spirits, good Beer, Porter, Ale and Cyder in casks and bottles, to merit their future kindness and support.

The Western Times 10 Nov 1832 reported that Elizabeth GLanville announced her intention to continue to establishment run by her late husband.
It also stated that London and Bristol coaches stop at the Hotel daily.
