Father | Thomas Glanville (1723 - 1765) |
Mother | Anne Halse (b 1727 - 1801) |
Birth, Marriage and Death information
Richard Glanville was born before 27 July 1750 at Ashburton, DEV, ENG.He was baptized on 27 July 1750 at St Andrews Parish Church, Ashburton, DEV, ENG, "Richard son of Richard Glanvile bap: the 27"
Richard's baptism record only names his father - Richard. However, this would be the fourth son named Richard if he was the child of Richard and Elizabeth St Hill, and another older Richard would still have been alive. Thus it is surmised to be a parish register error and his father was Thomas. Thomas was married in 1747 and Ann their daughter not baptized till 1752 so its most likey they had an earlier child.
In grave photo (http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~glanville/ashburtongraves1.html) of Thomas Glanvill and Ann his wife (nee Halse) there is a son called Richard buried with them....
