William Upjohn was born on 17 March 1754 at Exeter, DEV, ENG; William S. of William and Anne Upjohn.Anne's maiden name is known to be Reever, and he (William the father) was known to be a clockmaker. They appear to have had another son William baptised 13 Aug 1745 at St Mary Major in Exeter, presumably an older brother of William who died before 1754.
He was baptized on 17 March 1754 at St Mary Major, Exeter, DEV, ENG.
He married Elizabeth Glanville, daughter of John Glanville and Catherine Dandy, on 6 October 1772 at St Mary Major, Exeter, DEV, ENG, (when age calculated as 18 years, 6 months and 19 days) William Upjohns of this parish and Elizabeth Glanville of the same were married by banns.
He died in 1812 at London, MDX, ENG.

Biography of clockmaker William Upjohn (1754-1812)William Upjohn (1754-1812) was a late 18th century clockmaker, based in Exeter, Devon. He was the son of William Upjohn (1712-1768), who was also a clockmaker, and Anna Reeve (1718-1784). His father was born in Shaftesbury in Dorset and married Anna Reeve 11th September 1736 at Holy Trinity in Exeter. William Upjohn was born on 29th March 1754 in Exeter.
Upjohn married Elizabeth Glanville on 6th October 1772 at St Mary Major in Exeter
He is recorded as working in Fore Street in Exeter in the late 1700s before moving to Southgate Street in the city around 1800.
Upjohn retired in 1803, moving to London where he died in 1812.
It is believed that some descendents of this line went to New Zealand.
