     He married Elizabeth Purdy Millett on 4 October 1886 at St Andrew, Montpelier, Bristol, GLS, ENG, (when age calculated as 20 years and 9 months) registered Barton Regis. Witnesses : Samuel Mountain and Sarah Millet. Fathers named John Preed Glanville and James Millet deceased engineer. His age recorded 20, hers 19.
Subsequently reported as taking place 30 Oct 1886 at their divorce hearing.
     Rev. William Ewart Glanville and Elizabeth Purdy Millett were divorced in 1890 recorded 1890 in Divorce & Matrimonial Causes records. Wife's petition 29 Sep 1890, Decree Nisi 5 March 1891 following hearing at Wells. Adultery couple with cruelty to the petitioner.

He was reported to have used violent and offensive language, and to have struck the Petitioner, then undertook conduct leading to a charge of immorality laid before the Deacons of a Baptist chapel in Bristol. The Respondent had not been seen by the Petitioner since Sept 1890. A Decree Nisi with Costs was pronounced.
