     He married Hilda Drysdale Glanvill, daughter of Edward John Glanvill and Ivy Anderson, on 24 June 1946 at Old Church, Arbroath, ANS, SCT, reported in the Arbroath Guide 29 Jun 1946:
FORRESTER - GLANVILL - At the Old Church, Arbroath, on 24th June 1946, by the Rev. J Spence Cuthill, B.D., Livingston Rae, second son of Mr and Mrs Robert Forrester, 33 Cairnie Loan, Arbroath, to Hilda, only daughter of the late Edward Glanvill and of Mrs Ivy Milne, 21 Culloden Road, Arbroath.
     He died before 2019.
