The Tottenham and Edmonton Weekly Herald 21 May 1909 reported the Wood Green Coroner's Court at the Town Hall where both her husband and son Charles attested that she had given way to drink for twelve years, drinking gin on credit bought from off-licences, despite the best efforts of her husband. She had twice been in an Inebriates Home. She pawned and sold items to pay for the drink. Son Charles came home as 7pm and found her daead on the bedroom floor, on her back, the post mortem found she died of asphyxia, the organs showing signs of alcoholism.

We regret to have to record the death, at the early age of 36, of Mr. Ernest T. Glanvill, of Oakley-road, son of Mr. T. Glanvill, long resident in Jerusalem-passage, Clerkenwell. The deceased was an accomplished musician, as very many North Londoners and others know, and was well esteemed by all. The funeral is to-day (Monday), at Finchley Cemetery, leaving Oakley-road at two o'clcok.

Murray Edward Glanville of Crediton passed away on October 24 in his 21st year. He was the son of Mrs. Stanley Preszcator and the late Frank Glanville. He leaves to mourn his loss his mother, the former Shirley Regele, his step-father, brothers, Richard of Parkhill, David of Crediton, sisters Mrs. Philip (Muriel) Biernaskie of Kitchener, Mrs. Ron (Elaine) Foran of Blyth, Kathy, Lorna, Brenda and Barbie of Crediton, step-brothers Edward of Centralia, Larry and Wilfred of Stratford, step-sisters Tammy and Barbara of Crediton; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Regele, great-grandmother Mrs. Joe Thornton and grandfather Harold Glanville of Manitoulin Island. The funeral was held on Tuesday, October 27 from Hopper-Hockey funeral parlor in Exeter.
