BEAN’S COVE, Pa. — Douglas Glanville, 83, of Bean’s Cove, Pa., went to be with his Lord on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008.
Born April 21, 1925, in Randallstown, he was the son of the late Arthur Charles Glanville and Margaret Marie (Germac) Glanville. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles “Buddy” Glanville and Clayton Glanville, and a sister, Ellen Glanville.
Mr. Glanville retired from General Motors Manufacturing Plant. He was a member of the West Providence Independent Baptist Church, Everett, Pa.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 59 years, Wanetia Kathryn Glanville; two sons, Steven D. Glanville and wife Boots, and David B. Glanville, all of Beans Cove, Pa; a daughter, Robin Miller and husband Charlie, of Artemas, Pa; a brother, Clarence Glanville, of Eldersburg; three sisters, Nellie Creed and Monie Powell, both of Florida, and Pearl Brewer, of New York; his grandchildren, Ryan Glanville, of Columbia, Mo., Stephanie McCoy and husband Adam, of Flintstone, Michelle Harvey and husband Bill, of Cumberland, Chalce Seek and husband Sam, of Cumberland, Erin Miller, of Chaneysville, Pa., Crystal Miller, of Frostburg, and Tessa Miller, of Artemas, Pa; his great-grandchildren, Haley and Billy Harvey, of Cumberland, Hannah and Patrick McCoy, of Flintstone, and Cameron Seek, of Cumberland, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, from 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, at 11 a.m. with Pastor John Garner officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
