Obituary in The Cambrian News and Merionethshire Standard 18 Feb 1910: Major-General the Hon. Francis Glanville died at Plymouth on Wednesday morning aged eighty three. He was head of the old Cornish family of Glanville of Catchfrench, entered the Royal Artillery in 1844, became colonel in 1872 and retired in 1877. One of his sons was murdered in Ceylon a few years ago.
He was buried in February 1910 at Parish Church, St Germans, CON, ENG, recorded age 82. Abode 16 Leigham Street Plymouth and Catchfrench St Germans.
