     John Slyfield Garland was born between 1806 and 1807.
     He married Tryphena Glanville, daughter of Lieut. Col. Samuel Glanville and Eleanor Vassall, on 28 October 1851 at the Parish Church, Ottery St Mary, DEV, ENG, both of full age, fathers named John Garland gentleman, Samuel Glanvill esquire. By licence.      He died circa May 1852 at Honiton registered, DEV, ENG; recorded age 45.
