Melvin Mercer Glanville - Pueblo Chieftain - July 22, 1998 - Melvin Mercer Glanville, 81, after a lengthy illness, went home to be with our Lord on July 19, 1998. Survived by his wife, Neva, of 48 years- and by daughters, Sandy (Mannon) Lukehart, Sheila (Charles) Malouff, all of Pueblo, and Gloria Shine" Rohde of Springfield, Mo. Also survived by grandchildren, Kim (Clay) Goddard of Springfield, Mo., Tobi Lukehart of Las Vegas, Nev., Patric Lukehart, Rochelle, Andy, Marissa Malouff, all of Pueblo- and great-granddaughter, Alora Goddard of Springfield, Mo. Born on June 18, 1917, in Pueblo. He was a bus driver for Trailways for 38 years, driving more than 21/2 million safe miles on routes to Alamosa and Taos. He had a kind and loving heart and did stop to help many motorists. Through his illness he showed tremendous bravery and had a strong will to live. He never complained. He loved his wife and family and worked hard to give them a wonderful life. Funeral service, 2 p.m. today, T.G. McCarthy Rose Chapel. Interment to follow, Mountain View Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses who cared for him at St. Mary-Corwin Hospital, especially Dr. Chris Smith. The family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to Dream Weavers through the funeral home office.
