     He was baptized on 26 July 1846 at St Andrew, Plymouth, DEV, ENG, William Friend son of Robert and Nancy Glanville, abode Lambhay Hill, born 1846 June 23.
     He married Amelia Grace Camp on 4 July 1869 at Holy Trinity, Plymouth, DEV, ENG, (when age calculated as 23 years and 11 days) registered Plymouth. His age recorded 23, hers 20. Fathers name Vidboch Glanville fisherman, William Camp porter.
