HUTCHINSON, Lucy (Age 93) Our beloved Mother, Lucy Maxson Glanville Hutchinson passed quietly on April 23, 2021. Lucy was born in Colville, WA to Faye and Vina Maxson on January 31, 1928 the surviving oldest of six daughters. Later, the family moved to Spokane, WA. Lucy graduated from John Rogers High School, primarily studying her passion, which is music. She was a self-taught musician ("playing by ear"), playing the saxophone, piano, and bass professionally throughout the region. She also retired from DSHS after serving the State for many years. Lucy loved the beauty of the northwest and the outdoors, participating in camping, fishing, berry picking, gardening and traveling. She was always prepared for the unexpected, keeping her favorite dollar store finds near at hand. Surviving family include; Eileen Maxson Shulenbarger (sister) and Larry Shulenbarger, Lynn Glanville(son) and Sherilyn Peters, Karla (Glanville) Heinz (daughter) and Larry Heinz; Rachel (Hutchinson) Hoffer (daughter) and Chad Hoffer; Stepchildren include Diane Hutchinson Smith, Denise Hutchinson and Curtis Hutchinson. Six grandchildren and spouses -Chris and Julie Giebel, Kera and Brian Fields, Timothy Giebel and Daniel Victor, Sara Giebel, Leslie Lynch Knutson and Andy Knutson and Kellie and Jose Carabes. Currently she has five great-grandchildren: George and Charlie Giebel, Lauren and Maxson Fields and Zane Carrabas - with two on the way. Many loved nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. As per the request of the deceased, there will be no funeral at this time.
