Oliver Glanville was born in the town of Dodgeville, Iowa county, Wisconsin, on the 21st day of Sept. A.D. 1844, and died suddenly at his home in Linden on Monday morning, November 2nd, 1908. His father's name was Johnson Glanville. his mother's maiden name was Mary Ann Pedlar. The father died in 1850, of cholera, leaving a young family for his widow to care for, and so it came that is devolved upon the subject of this obituary in company with other children to help provide for a family. For him it was work rather than play to begin life with. Thus he grew up a worker in an industrious reliable man. In 1864 he came to Linden; and on the 22nd of November, 1869, he married Miss Elizabeth Poad, who survives him, but at present is very feeble by reason of long illness. To the union two children were born, Josephine, now Mrs. S. Launder, and Archibald, who still lives at home.

John Glanville, of Linden, whose death occurred at Battle Creek, Mich., on June 15, 1910, whither he had gone for the benefit of his health, was born on October 5, 1842, being 68 years, 8 months and 10 days old. On January 24, 1891 he was married to Miss H.M. Bowden, who died July 11, 1895. The immediate relatives who mourn his departure, are two children, Maud M. and Royal B., and two brothers, Charles A. and Albert of Chicago. Besides these the deceased leaves a large number of more or less distant relatives and a host of friends, by whom he will be much missed. As a father neighbor and citizen, he had few if any superiors. His Christian life was characterized by a true simplicity, fervour and reality, which comes only from contact and communion with the Christ of Calvary. May the blessings of Heaven rest upon the bereft ones until they meet their loved one in the Celestrial City.

Our citizens were shocked when on the morning of the 6th the sad news of the finding of Miss Emeline Glanville dead at her home, was received.
At the inquest it was found that heart failure was the cause. Miss Glanville was 46 years old on the 4th July. The funeral took place on Sunday. Services were held at the M.E. church and conducted by Rev. Hardcastle.
