     William John Searle Glanville was born circa May 1854 at St Mary Church, DEV, ENG; also Upton Torquay recorded and Torquay. Registered Newton Abbot.
     He married Maria Cole on 2 May 1882 at St Mary Church, DEV, ENG, registered Newton Abbot. his age recorded 28, hers 24. Fathers named William Glanvillelabourer, Edward Maligan Cole gardiner.
     He died circa May 1911 at Newton Abbot registered, DEV, ENG; recorded age 57. Reportedly taking his own life while of unsound mind, the informant of the death was P C Cornish-Bowden, Deputy Coroner for Devon Totnes District. The inquest was held on the 29 May 1911. His death certif records him to be a Naval Pensioner.
