     He died on 8 April 1888 at 16 Trothy Road, St Olave, SRY, ENG; Reported in The Times of 11 Apr p10 as "INQUEST. - Yesterday, Mr Carter coroner held an inquest at the Queen Victoria publichouse, Southwark Park Road, Bermondsey, on the body of Richard Glanville, aged 85, lately residing at 16 Trothy Road. Brougham Glanville, deceased's son stated that on Sunday morning when he awoke he found his father lying dead by his side. He was ashy pale and his arm was cold. The witness sent for a doctor at once. By the Coroner. - His father wore false teeth. Dr J F Rugg desposed to being summoned to see the old man, and found him lying dead in bed. He discovered a plate of false teeth tightly wedged in his through just above the windpipe. In his opinion death was due to suffocation. Ellen Allen said that the deceased often used to drop his teeth out of his mouth; she believed his gums must have sunk. The jury returned a verdict of Accidental Death"
Cause of death (death certif): Found dead in bed 8 Apr 1888, Accidental death by act of false teeth pressing into his throat.
Death registered St Olave, recording age 85.
