     He married Ann Glanville, daughter of Thomas Glanville and Mary Warren, on 25 November 1834 at The Town Church, St Peter Port, GSY, (when age calculated as 26 years, 1 month and 14 days) Also reported "22 Nov 1834, St Peter Port. Ann from Mevagissey, Cornwall" but verification has failed to find this marriage at this church, it may be it was at the Independent Church.

     John Bogg (born Magherafelt in Northern Ireland) and his wife retired to Guernsey from the Royal Artillery in 1808. Edmund was with them aged about 1 year.
     His son, Edmund Bogg joined the Royal Artillery in 1827 and spent 23 years in the army. He was in Canade for 6 years and it looks as though he came home on leave around about 1834.
     Between 1861 and 1871 In the Edmund Bogg censuses his wife in each of 1851/61/71 is Ann Bogg, born Mevagissey, c1816/17
