JUDGES RULING
     In an action in the Probat Court tdoay, Mr. Justice Langton found that Mrs. Annie Florence Glanvill, a widow, of Trafalgar-road, Mosely, Birmingham, who died on 19 January 1938, laving a will of 1931 with the signature torn off, and a draft of a later will which was never engrossed and executed, intended to destroy the will of 1931 and died without effective legal dispositions.
     The intention of the will of 1931, the Judge said, was to divide an estate of something less than £3,000 between her two sons, but later she spoke of desiring to make provisions for infants.
     She was not the first grandmother who had a soft spot for her remoter issue, But unfortunatately the Court could not give form to the purpose, because he believed the evidence which showed she wished to avoid the will of 1931 and there was nothing to put in its place.
     He therefore declared against it.
